About THMI
The Hitch Man, Inc. (THMI) was incorporated in January 1994 as a family-owned and operated business that offered mobile delivery and installation of truck accessories. The first retail store was opened in 1996 to better serve customers, offering more products and services, including trailer sales. The second store opened in September 2002 in Taneytown, Maryland. Expect to see more locations in the future along with continuously improving our advanced website.
“Good ‘Ol Fashioned” quality service has been the THMI motto since day one. Both locations are certified Maryland trailer inspection stations. The stores sell new and used trailers and repair trailers up to 14,000lb Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). THMI offers many truck, SUV, and car accessories as well. THMI does everything from tow packages to complete customizations. THMI sales consultants are very open and honest, and are required to be very knowledgeable with everything they sell to clients. Safety is top priority.
THMI offers expert advice on all towing products. THMI also has the largest selection of open and enclosed trailers on the east coast!
THMI is also your best source for BLIZZARD snow/ice removal equipment. They are Maryland’s Power Elite distributor! Their mechanics are also fully certified for installations and repairs with BLIZZARD, as well as repairs on WESTERN, and MEYER brands.
THMI also installs cold air intake systems, performance exhaust systems, computer tuners, suspension and body lift kits/drop kits, wheels and tires, and even superchargers. Professional installation is available for everything they sell! All work is done by trained mechanics in a modern facility with state of the art equipment.
